The World Cup Play-Offs are an exciting format that sees the top eight best placed runners-up in their group for World Cup qualifying in Europe play-off over two legs, with the winners of each tie booking their place for South Africa through the back door. The first leg of the play-offs will take place on Saturday 14th November with the return leg just a few days later on Wednesday 18th November to determine who will be going to the World Cup.

France, Portugal, Greece and Russia were the four seeded teams for the draw and they could not been drawn against each other in a controversial move by FIFA, the results panned out like this;
