Euro Group C Matches

Republic of Ireland have once again been handed a very tough Group, consisting of the likes of Germany, Sweden and Austria. Giovanni Trapattoni's men will have it all to do to qualify but will no doubt draw upon their trademark passion and grit as they aim to reach the World Cup Finals for the first time since 2002.

Germany are a formidable team in qualification groups for major tournaments and will once again start as the outright favourites. After missing out on qualification for the last World Cup in South Africa, Sweden will be itching to get back on track and feature in the upcoming tournament in Brazil. Austria haven't qualified since 1998 but they will still provide Ireland with a stiff challenge, and if lucks on their side they could even finish as runners-up.

Germany are the odds-on 2/7 favourites to finish top, while Sweden are priced ay 9/2 and Ireland at 15/2. Austria may be worth an outside bet at 25/1.
